Use the Force, Harry

I honestly can’t find the origin of this meme. But either here or  here? Who knows it’s awesome.

Why this makes every nerd’s head explode in anger, or laughter:

1) Patrick Stewart (dude in pic) is from Star Trek.

2) The Force is a binding, metaphysical and ubiquitous power in the fictional universe of the Star Wars galaxy.

3) Harry refers to Harry Potter.

4) Gandalf, from Lord of the Rings, played by Ian McKellen in the movie adaptation of the book. No that is not him without a beard. That is Patrick Stewart from Star Trek (see #1 above). [Edit: I apologize for the typo on Gandalf's name, it has been corrected.]

5) None of these things belong with the other. Unfortunately, geeks and nerds often dis each other over dumb things like whether or not Star Wars or Star Trek is better. I happen to love both. Somehow all these nerd likes and dislikes come together and they make some awesome nerdiness.

It only gets better as you choose to call him Gandolf.

Thanks for commenting. I think this meme is quite hilarious, mixing up many nerdy and geeky loves. But I cannot not take credit for the meme. Also, I am aware that is Patrick Stewart and not Ian McKellen.

His name is Gandalf. That’s why you should take all credit for making it even funnier.

Thank you for pointing out my typo. I’m glad it made you laugh, although it was purely an accident.

    6. Patrick Stewart played opposite Sir Ian McKellen in the X-Men films.

Not sure if you’re interested, but here are the three memes that I found including the one you’ve posted here, plus two memes that I made on my own. Hope you find them as funny :) http://scifispirit.wordpress.com/2012/07/22/sci-fi-mash-ups/
