This giant on/off switch was painted on the side of a building, legally, for a festival. How cool is that? [via]
Urban Wall‘s stencil art by is just fantastic. You can buy prints by contacting the artist at reinaldoferrer@gmail.com.
Another Buffy and Twilight joke, but this time the art is just fantastic. I’m not a Twilight Hater, but this is funny. [via]

I think the Nerdy Bird said it best when she wrote, “[T]he argument, ‘vampires shouldn’t sparkle,’ is the single most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. I’ll say it once again for those of you who don’t get it, VAMPIRES AREN’T REAL. They are a work of literary fiction (based on a few historical figures) who have been depicted a certain way in media for a long time. That’s the way most people like them but they aren’t real and they don’t belong to anyone.”
I quite agree. While I don’t believe the Twilight series is great literature, it is a fun escape, and I can tell the difference between a vampire and reality. In addition, I have not problem that in Meyer’s universe her Vampires sparkle. So what? It’s her universe. If I minded I wouldn’t have read the series. But say that vampires must be a certain way because that is how they have been portrayed, is a little silly to me.
