Doctor Who is definitely a great sci/fi show. It has been on television for a long time, with a revamping of the show six years ago (it is about to go into its seventh year with the revamp). If you can find it, it is pretty awesome to watch!
Didyaseeit? Did ya? Did ya? Hmmmm… usual stuff, to be honest… I’m tired of seeing ol’ wotisname on TV… the Michio guy… he must have a damn good agent… he’s on *everything*
I had seen some of the clips in that trailer, but not that exact trailer. I like how they did voice overs of both Tennant and Eccleston. I’m not really excited about the show opening up with what I consider to be the most boring of all the villains, but I’m excited about Season 7 for sure!!
LOL The thing about the Daleks is that they seem to keep being defeated – and pretty much wiped out or removed from the universe – and yet they keep coming back. That’s my only complaint there… but it looks as though they’ve got every Dalek in existence in that ep, so I’m curious to see it.
BTW, I’ve heard rumours that S7 will premiere in England next month and that the episodes will be broadcast in the US one week later. I’m soooo hoping to be able to watch some Who episodes when I go back home
I agree about the keep coming back thing. Maybe that annoys me a bit more than the whole, they just aren’t scary to me thing. But that is a lot of lasers, so it could be exciting.
Oh, I get that they were created in a different time, and I don’t discount that they used to really scare people and still do. The Silence scare the heck out of me, and I realize it is all contextual.
The Silence were cool – great concept, you can’t remember them – but I wasn’t that impressed as a villiain. If they’re supposed to be that super bad, how come the Doctor didn’t encounter them before?

I did, it was. . . interesting. But I’m just holding my horses, barely, for actual episodes.

Right – and bear in mind they were created in the sixties when you couldn’t get away with much on TV…
