Nodds & Nends: Social Media, Cute Kitten, and Button Tree Illustrations

I read some interesting articles recently on social media, blogging, and upping your likability quotient. Both authors explore the use of comments and interacting with readers to gain likability with the internets.

Cute Kitten Obligatory Picture of the Week, because I love you.

Check out these Disney Princes dressed as Chippendale Dancers. Not exactly suitable for work I call them the Porn Princes, though they are all wearing the equivalent of a speedo.

These button tree illustrations, aren’t so much nerdy or geeky as they are lovely and crafty. Anyone who wants to make me one for my wall is welcome to do so. My living room is modern with touches of homey, mainly red with some orange and black accents. Thanks in advance! 😀 There aren’t really instructions, but I’m sure you can figure it out.

Social Media Sites as Superheroes

I found this Infograph of Superheroes as Social Media Sites on The Mary Sue. It is super cool!!!

Women and Social Media

Read this really cool article on how women in other countries are using social media to fight oppression and anti-feminist movements. I followed some of the links in the article and they led to some more amazing reads. Start HERE. Below is the video that started a lot of the movement. Interestingly, trying to click on the Facebook site leads you to this message:

The page you requested was not found.

Which means the site has been taken down, again.
